Some quick pointers are:
- Drip irrigation offers little protection compared to under tree sprinkler or furrow irrigation
- Check from the lowest part of the orchard and work from there
- In a lot of cases there won’t be visible external damage and some damage will take up to 2 weeks to appear
- Cut suspect fruit along with sheltered fruit, dry in the sun for a few hours and monitor differences.
- Speak to your packing shed for more information, don’t harvest for the sake of harvesting as this can be a costly mistake
